Chocolate Wave
Lightwave 3D, Photoshop
July 2009

Originally this started in our photo studio. The client was adamant about capturing it practically. I'm all for practical captures, but this just wasn't flying... fingerprints, melting chocolate and not to mention all of the retouching to remove the company brand and then make it read with the word chocolate in 20 different languages.
So, I scrapped their reference, requested a box of chocolate (which took me a month to eat and cost me 4 teeth) modeled it in Lightwave, textured it and displaced the type and then rendered out a poster sized version. Viola!
